Judges Overview

CITY OF CAPE TOWN – INTEGRATED ANNUAL REPORT 2021/22 has a well-developed communication strategy: it has a clear purpose and audience, and the report’s theme, tone, layout, and message are designed to suit this perfectly. The contents of this publication are wrapped into an interesting-to-read, cohesive package. The message is delivered in a friendly, down-to-earth narrative that conveys the leadership team’s attitude about the city. Finding no obvious errors in a publication of this size is rare, and it is a testament to hours of dedicated work, attention to detail, and a comprehensive style guide that is followed consistently. This report contains plenty of visual interest and the typography makes it easy to read. The illustrations and infographics are creative and add a nice touch. The team succeeded in changing a governance necessity into a visually pleasing and accessible document to the organisation’s activities.
